Charles Bradley has conquered many conflicts and has lived to tell about his inspirational excursions. Throughout a significant portion of his childhood, Charles only had the streets to call his home. Luckily, James Brown’s 1962 performance at The Apollo was one of his first introductions to music. Having been profoundly inspired by “The Godfather of Soul”, Charles Bradley channeled his newfound aspirations into a desire to make a name for himself.
However, success didn’t come quickly. Charles spent over 20 years in California, making his living as a chef, all the while playing music on the side. It took plenty of decades and dedication to get where Charles Bradley is today. Recently, he has been touring for his newest record No Time For Dreaming. Charles Bradley spent most of his life dreaming for a better one, and now there is no more time for dreaming, only time for singing, dancing and loving.
